A man went on a business to China and wanted to buy some gifts for his kids. He went to a shop and found a nice looking CD player. Wary of buying inferior goods, he asked the shopkeeper, 'What would happen if this does not work?'The shopkeeper quietly points to the only sign in English that reads, 'GUARANTEE NO SPOILT'.
Feeling assured, he paid for the CD player and returns to his hotel. He tried to use the CD player after returning to the hotel but it would not even switch on.
He quickly return to the shop and asked for a refund or an exchange for another unit. When the shopkeeper refuse to give either, the man points to the sign assuring him of a guarantee. The shopkeeper then said, 'Brother, you are in China . We read from the right to the left.'

Award winning jokes
This particular joke won an award for the best joke in a competition in Britain. One Chinese person walks into a bar in America late one night and he saw Steven Spielberg.
As he was a great fan of his movies, he rushes over to him, and asks for his autograph. Instead, Spielberg gives him a slap and says "You Chinese people bombed our Pearl Harbor, get out of here." The astonished Chinese man replied, "It was not the Chinese who bombed your Pearl Harbor , it was the Japanese". "Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, you're all the same," replied Spielberg.
In return, the Chinese gives Spielberg a slap and says "You sank the Titanic, my forefathers were on that ship." Shocked, Spielberg replies, "It was the iceberg that sank the ship, not me."The Chinese replies, "Iceberg, Spielberg, Carlsberg, you're all the same."

Transfer Rumours: Liverpool linked with Cavenaghi - Who is he?

Today's transfer rumours have been linking Liverpool with Argentine striker Fernando Cavenaghi, so for those of you who have never heard of him here's some information and videos of the Bordeaux frontman in Action.
Cavenaghi currently plays his football at Bordeaux for whom he has scored 28 goals in 48 games since singing from Spartak Moscow in January 2007. He has 4 caps for Argentina but has yet to find the back of the net. While playing for under 20 Argentina side he bagged 4 goals in 7 games, and faces tough competition to get in the line up of the full international side from the likes of Tevez, Messi, Milito and Aguero.
He made the breakthrough at River Plate, where he scored 55 goals in 89 games before moving to Spartak Moscow for £6.5million. He failed to adjust to the different lifestyle and game in Russia, and was subsequently sold to Bordeaux for $11million after scoring just 13 times in 53 appearances.
He have score some decent goals, so he could turn out to be a good buy although he'd have to fight Torres for the number 9 shirt!

Proton First SUV is coming to town.....

I have some preliminary details on the Proton MPV due to be launched in the first half of 2009. According to a source in Proton, the Proton MPV is on schedule and one of the first chassis prototypes was shown at the Proton Technology Week.
The chassis reveals quite a bit about the car. There is also a model of the interior hidden in a box with holes cut into it, much like the peekaboo promo that Proton did for its previous two models. The following are what I gathered on the MPV:
The chassis reveals quite a bit about the car. There is also a model of the interior hidden in a box with holes cut into it, much like the peekaboo promo that Proton did for its previous two models. The following are what I gathered on the MPV:
Exterior
- Overall shape is like the Toyota Wish but the rear section of the roof does not slope down slightly like the Wish to improve headroom for the third row.
- Tail lamps use LEDs and have a vertical design extending from the top to down, unlike the Wish’s which do not extend into the D pillar.
- The tail lamps are slimmer at the top but curve out a little at the bottom, similiar to the Volvo XC90’s design.
- The signal lamps in the light cluster are positioned towards the top for better visibility.
- There is a swage line on the side profile of the MPV.
- Regular swing doors instead of sliding doors.
- The spare tyre is installed outside under the chassis instead of kept in the car so that you can get access to it easily when the luggage space is occupied.
Interior
- The peekaboo box revealed a two-tone beige interior, but sources in Proton say the colour of the interior has not been finalised. It may be either beige or grey.
- Luggage space is not that great with the third row of seats in place, but can fit one large golf bag. This means balik kampung with 7 people loaded and luggage for 7 will be a challenge.
- Second row splits 60:40 while the third row is a 50:50 split. The seats fold flat.
- Interior roof height is designed to be quite decent to accomodate people who want to ride with songkoks and turbans.
- The shifter uses a gated shift and is dashboard-mounted rather than mounted between the front two seats, a common modern trend with MPV-like vehicles.
- The in-car entertainment is a 2-DIN unit. There are options for a DVD player with an LCD display for the movie mounted at the second row roof area. There is also an option in the future for GPS navigation.
- The 2-DIN head unit is at the top of the center dash area below the aircond vents, and below it comes the air conditioning controls which are three knobs arranged in a triangle shape. Below that is the shifter.
- There are aircond blowers for the second and third row situation at the top left and right of the cabin roof (near the grip handles). Proton source says after testing this produced the best airflow.
- There is no armrest between the front two seats but the armrest is instead a fold-down type integrated into the seat itself.
Chassis
- The wheelbase of the chassis is estimated to be more than 2,700mm but less than 2,800mm. In comparison, the Honda Stream has a wheelbase of 2740mm, the Wish is 2,750mm, the Innova 2,750mm, the Livina 2600mm, and the Mazda5 2750mm.
- The front suspension design uses MacPherson struts and the rear design uses a torsion beam to minimize suspension system intrusion into cabin.
- The front end is designed, supplied and assembled as a single module for weight reduction and ease of installation to minimize QC problems.
- The MPV is said to have very good crash safety design from Proton internal crash tests. A few MPVs will be sent for official crash testing and rating soon.
So there you have it.

My Malaysian Idol.....Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad
Tun Mahathir was born on 10 July 1925, in Alor Star, the capital of the northern state of Kedah the youngest of nine children of a schoolteacher and a housewife. His father, Mohamad Iskandar, was of half-Indian origin, being the son of a Malayalee Muslim (who migrated from Kerala) and a Malay mother, while Mahathir's own mother, Wan Tampawan, was Malay.During World War II, he sold pisang goreng (banana fritters) and other snacks to supplement his family income during the Japanese occupation of Malaya. Tun Mahathir attended a Malay vernacular school before continuing his education at the Sultan Abdul Hamid College in Alor Star. Mahathir then attended the King Edward VII Medical College (the predecessor of present-day National University of Singapore) in Singapore, where he edited a medical student magazine called The Cauldron; he also contributed to the The Straits Times newspaper anonymously under the nickname "Che Det". Mahathir was also President of the Muslim Society in the college. Upon graduation in 1953, Mahathir joined the then Malayan government service as a medical officer. He married Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali—a fellow doctor and former classmate in college—on 5 August 1956, and left government service in 1957 to set up his own private practice in Alor Star. Mahathir thrived in private practice, and allowed him to own by 1959 a Pontiac Catalina and employ an ethnic Chinese chauffeur (at the time, almost all chauffeurs in Malaysia were Malays, owing to the economic dominance of the ethnic Chinese). Some critics have suggested this foreshadowed a later hallmark of Mahathir's politics, which focused on the "cultivation of such emblems of power".
From his marriage with Siti Hasmah binti Haji Mohamad Ali, they have five children, three sons and two daughters. Both Mukhriz and Mokhzani Mahathir are involved in business as well as in politics while their eldest daughter Marina Mahathir is a prominent local writer and AIDS activist.

Everyone is deserved an interest... Liverpool FC

Everyone is deserved an interest...
Interest….. Some of us have no interest, some of us have only an interest but for me, I have plenty of interests…… One of the many is………… Liverpool FC……….
I was born in the year of 1979, which 1979-80 seasons was the 100th season of competitive football in England. And the most important is Liverpool won the league title with a comfortable nine-point margin and just two defeats all season. Their key players were two new signings- winger John Barnes and forward Peter Beardsley.
I remember the first time I watching football with my grand father and I noticed a team which wearing a red jersey is playing very beautiful football and scoring a lot of goals…My grand father told me that this team is the best in the Europe and he asked me which team that I would support? I told him this team which is Liverpool FC. Every one should deserve a winning team, right…
Since then I become a die hard Liverpool fan. Some of my friends mention that I’m crazy that I’m wearing Liverpool jersey every weekend. But I’m very proud of it……
